What does weekend fifteen have in store for the Bees? Season weekend fourteen review  A double header away weekend in Solway with a short benched Bees squad was always going to be tough. The Sharks made the most of the Bees misfortune with 9-3 and 6-3 wins over the two games. The Bees players gave their all and Will Stead definitely took on the challenge scoring 5 goals over the two games.    My opinion - it was one of those weekends when the players who were able to travel had the hardest job. Honestly they did incredibly well, there were too many obstacles in their way to realistically get the wins but they did themselves and the fans proud. Player of the Weekend Result Congratulations to  Will Stead  who is the player of the weekend, he wins thanks to your votes on Twitter with 95 % of the vote. With a 5 goal haul at the weekend it was never going to be anyone else! Next: Home and Away to the Phantoms  Bees have already played the Phantoms h...

What does weekend fourteen have in store for the Bees? Season weekend thirteen review  With just one game last weekend against the Leeds Knights, Bees fans were delighted to see Josh Smith back on the ice after a lengthy stint on the injury balcony. The team was also boosted by having many of the two-way players available too. Sadly, this game was not going to go well in many ways and by 16.08 in the first period the Bees were already 5-0 down. The second period was a much more even period shared 1-1 with Bees goal scored by Will Stead. A goalless third period saw the Knight leave Slough with a 6-1 win. The talking point of the night was the number of penalties with Bees amassing 83 minutes and the Knights 116 minutes. A number of the incidents were reviewed by DOPS, Bees Liam Morris has received suspensions following two separate penalties during the game and will be unavailable to the Bees until the new year.     My opinion - Even though the Bees banked a h...

What does weekend thirteen have in store for the Bees? Season weekend twelve review  Bees started with a home fixture against the Sheffield Steeldogs on Saturday evening. With a limited roster of 13 players this was going to be a tough game but the players gave their all and more. This game was an absolute goal fest with the teams delivering 14 goals between them. The scoreline yoyoed with Bees taking a 3-1 lead and then the Steeldogs taking a 6-3 lead for the Bees to then bring it back to 6-6. The Steeldogs found two late goals to give them the two points.   Bees travelled up to Hull on the Sunday to meet the Seahawks team who haven't had the best form of late. Hull raced away to a 3-0 lead by the end of the first period but the second period belonged to the Bees who won the period 2-1 bringing themselves to within two goals at the end of the period. The Seahawks were to score first in the third period and then a Balaz goal brought the Bees back within...
