Weekend Teaser: Every point matters now
A playoff berth is Bees goal
Tigers edge Bees after double header thrillers
The Bees had a double header weekend with the Telford Tigers, both teams looking to improve their playoff chances. On both evenings Bees managed to find the back of the net 5 times but Tigers managed to finish off the games with a 8-5 win at home and a 6-5 win in Slough. Over the weekend Marcel Balaz scored 4+2 and Domink Gabaj scored 2+4. This puts Dom on 66 points for the season and Marcel on 65 points which places them at 7th and 8th in the league's top scorers. There were plenty of other good performances over the weekend together with the return of Brython Preece to the bench although Brett had the nod for both games.

Next - A double header weekend with the Steeldogs
Saturday evening sees the Steeldogs visit Slough before the Bees make the trip to Sheffield on Sunday. The teams have played eachother once home and away so far this season with the away team nabbing the points each time. Steeldogs currently sit 10th in the league just 4 points behind the Bees who are in 9th. Raiders are just one point ahead of Bees in 8th in the final plaoff berth so these 4 points up for grabs are vital. It's fair to say that the Steeldogs haven't had the best run over the last few weeks but they are still a formidable opponent for the Bees and Dom and the boys will do everything they can to win the points. As you would expect Jonathan Phillips tops their scoring with 42 points this season, Matt Bissonnette and Jason Hewitt are just behind him with 36 and 35 points respectively.
All that is left to say is safe travels to the Steeldogs and their fans travelling on Saturday and to the Bees and their travelling fans on Sunday. Come on you Bees!
