Weekend Teaser: Bees aim to keep themselves in playoff contention
Only one goal split Bees and Wildcats in a 13 goal thriller
Bees narrowly missed out on taking points from Swindon
Bees welcomed the Swindon Wildcats to Slough for the first game in 2024 which was the Bees only game of the weekend. Bees took a 3-1 lead into the first period break courtesy of goals from Adam Rosbottom, Gianni Vitali and Dom Gabaj. The lead was extended to 4-1 shortly into the second period as Marcel Balaz found the net. Wildcats then brought the game level before Marcel scored again to give the Bees a 5-4 lead going into the break. The third period saw the Wildcats bring the scores level and take a 7-5 lead. Dan Rose scored Bees last goal of the evening but time was not on the Bees side and a 6-7 scoreline saw the Wildcats walk away with the points.

Next weekend Bees head to Swindon on Saturday before the Raiders visit Slough
Having just played the Wildcats there will be no doubt that Dom and the boys know what to expect. They know they came so close to beating them last Sunday and who they need to focus on. Wildcats are now up to 3rd in the league although they are some way behind the top two.
Raiders currently sit 7th in the league with 11 wins from the 31 games they have played in the league to date. Their stand out player is Adam Laishram with 53 points from 28 games. Raiders were the better team when they played Bees home and away just after Christmas, Bees were missing some players then but now seem to be in a better place, quite how that will play out in this game remains to be seen. Bees have slipped down to 9th in the league as Solway had back to back wins over the Pitbulls last weekend. Depending on results Bees could find themselves up in 7th again after this weekend as it is so tight between 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th.
