Weekend Teaser: Twas two games before Christmas
Last games before Christmas
MK too strong for Bees but an overtime win against Tigers raises the roof in Slough
On Saturday Bees made the trip to Milton Keynes to play the in form Lightning who have been thrashing the opposition of late. Bees were short benched with Antonov, Gabaj, Harvey Stead and Josh Kelly all absent so to come away with a 5-2 loss was a very credible performance. Dan Rose and Ryan Webb were Bees goal scorers on the night.
Sunday saw the Tigers visit Slough and we were treated to one of the best home games of the season so far. The first period ended 0-0 (well it would on Air the Bear evening!). Tigers took the lead in the second period before Moggy levelled up the scoreline, the period was to finish 1-1. The Tigers took the lead again in the third with a powerplay goal but Adam Rosbottom was on hand to level the scores again. Tigers then went ahead with their third goal of the evening and Bees had no choice but to pull Brython Preece to put the extra skater on and this paid dividends as Gianni Vitali found the game tying goal with just over a minute of the third period remaining. The period ended 3-3 and was probably a reflection of both teams excellent performances on the night. The Bees went into overtime having not had the lead in the game but that little detail wasn't going to bother them as Marcel Balaz beat the keeper ably assisted by Liam Morris to give Bees a 4-3 win. Liam had a great weekend as he then picked up his second man of the match for the weekend.

Next - The Bees head to Swindon on Thursday evening before heading to Sheffield on Saturday
Bees visit Swindon on Thursday for the first away game there of the regular season. The teams have only met once in Slough so far and the Wildcats came out 5-3 victors. It was a close affair and we should expect the same in Swindon.
Bees last game before Christmas sees them head up to Sheffield to play the Steeldogs. The teams have met once before this season where the Steeldogs beat the Bees 6 - 4. We await to see if the Steeldogs will be able to ice a full roster after some shenanigans in Romford on Sunday. Steeldogs came away with the win from that match but also quite a few penalty minutes too.
All that is left to say is safe travels to the Bees and travelling fans up to Swindon and Sheffield. Come on you Bees!
Finally in the words of Shakin' Stevens, Merry Christmas Everyone!
