Weekend Teaser: Bees show the league they mean business
Bees go on a road trip looking for points
Bees show the league they are not here to make up the numbers!
Saturday evening saw the Bees visit Bristol looking to continue their winning streak and the Pitbulls didn't come close to preventing the Bees achieving their aim. Bees raced to a 3-0 lead by the end of the first period and extended the lead further to 7-0 at the end of the second. They took their foot off the peddle in the third, points were in the bag already and they were mindful that the league and playoff champions were their next opponents the following evening. The Pitbulls scored twice in the final period which gave a 7-2 win for the Bees but the outcome was never in doubt. Bees goals were scored By Mogg, Balaz, Rosbottom and Landsbergs with a goal a piece and Gabaj with a hattrick. Bees early success in the league has been due to many factors and whilst the imports, currently number 2 and 3 top point scorers in the league, are a huge scoring force goals can come from anywhere with this squad which causes the opposition a major headache.
Sunday saw the Knights visit Slough. Everyone knows Leeds can not be taken lightly, unstoppable last season and definitely in with a chance to repeat some of that success this year. A tied first period saw each team score once, Leeds taking the lead courtesy of Oli Endicott and a nice goal from Josh Smith bringing the scores level. The second period was another 1-1 period, Dom Gabaj scoring a powerplay goal which was cancelled out by a shorthanded goal scored by Brown.
The third period was a tense affair. Leeds scores a powerplay goal at 49 minutes to take the lead and Bees threw everything they had at the Leeds goal. They were gifted with a powerplay for the majority of the last two minutes and despite pulling Preece for the extra skater they couldn't get the puck in the net. Leeds coming away with the two points but it could easily have been the other way round.

Bees Leadership Team Announced
Next - Bees hit the road with an away double header
Bees will be making the 336 mile trip to Dumfries to play the new arrival to the league the Solway Sharks. Sharks have not made the best start to their league campaign with 4 losses from the first 4 games but with many tipping them for huge success in their first season as this level the Bees will not be taking them lightly.
Sunday sees Bees take the 203 mile trip from Dumfries to Hull to face the Seahawks. It is fair to say that last season the team from Hull faced many obstacles which prevented them from putting their mark on the league and finally finishing bottom. They were a much better team than this and this has been confirmed with 3 wins and an overtime loss in their first four games of this season. They have managed to lure Bobby Chamberlain back to his home town from Milton Keynes and they mean business. This will be Bees toughest fixture this weekend.
Fingers crossed the guys bring some point back to Slough. Safe travels to the team and fans making the journey. Come on you Bees!
