New Signing: Oliver Knaggs

Oliver Knaggs joins the Bees Defence 

At 17 years old, Oliver becomes Bees newest and youngest signing this season. Oliver is the younger brother of former Bee, Ed Knaggs, and has previously played in the junior systems of Milton Keynes and our very own Bracknell Bees in the Hummers and Drones teams.

Last season saw Oliver make 24 appearances for the MK Thunder and he also was called up to the Great Britain Under 18 World Championship squad where he scored an outstanding solo goal in GB's win over Serbia. 

Oliver is on a two-way deal with Chelmsford Chieftains with Bees having first option on his availability and he will wear number 5 for the Bees.

 Bees venture into the unknown as we play the new kids on the block Bees come out of weekend pointless against Knights  Both the Bees games last weekend were against the Leeds Knights who are currently sitting at the top of the league table. The team can be really proud of their performances on both nights and although they didn't come away from either game with any points there were plenty of positives. Bees were first to score on Saturday night but were to be hit with an impressive  second period from Leeds that saw them score 4 unanswered goals and Bees could not find a way back. Weekend Teaser: A weekend with the Raiders and the Steeldogs

   A weekend with the Raiders and the Steeldogs Bees fail to add points to their league and cup tallies  With high hopes after the three point weekend Bees came across two tough opponents last weekend and sadly no points were gained. On Saturday night in Sheffield the Bees stood up well to the Steeldogs and at times appeared to be the better team. With a 0-0 scoreline heading into the third period it really could have gone either way. Steeldogs were the first to score but just 37 seconds later Dominik Gabaj brought the Bees back level. Steeldogs edged ahead again and then were awarded a penalty shot. A great stop from Gossy kept the score at 2-1 but shortly after Steeldogs were able to add one more goal to their tally and this was to be the last goal of the evening. The Steeldogs owed much of their win to their netminder who was on top form and made some huge saves during the match.  Sunday saw the Telford Tigers first visit to Slough. Weekend Teaser: Hull double header, can Bees sting the Seahawks?

   Bees working hard to secure a playoff place Brett earns his first NIHL win against Raiders after disappointment in Swindon Saturday evening saw the Bees play away in Swindon where they were second best to the in form Wildcats. The Wildcats raced to a 4-1 lead at the end of the first, Josh Smith scoring Bees goal. The second period was tied 1-1 with Dominik Gabaj on target for the Bees. The Wildcats won the third period 4-2, Bees goals coming from Gianni Vitali and Marcel Balaz. Final score on the night 9-4 in favour of the Wildcats. Liam Morris picked up the man of the match, good job it's beer and not a trophy as he would need a bigger cabinet with all of his recent man of the match success. Sunday saw the Raiders visit Slough having been the better team in the two meetings of the teams over the Christmas period.
