Returning: James Galazzi

Gazza is back, but for only two months as things stand

After several months of will he/won’t he, Bees IHC have announced that James Galazzi is returning to the team as cover for Adam Rosbottom who is unavailable to ice for the team until November due to current service commitments with the Royal Air Force.

Since joining the Bees organisation in 2005/2006 season, Gazza has stayed ever faithful to the black, white and gold teams and whilst he is, at the time of writing, the most senior player on the team he still makes a major contribution to the squad. Last season was his fifth highest points tally in his career, so he still has plenty to offer the team. Everyone will be sure to be asking the question come November of whether or not James will continue until the end of the season.

The wait for defenders continues...

With the current squad signings for 2022/2023 totalling 15 there is room for more. Currently there are only 3 defenders on the books this is surely where we will see further additions. What we do know if that they will not be imports with the two available slots already filled. The biggest loss to our defence from last season was Ed Bradley’s move to Bristol/Cardiff. We saw at the tail end of last season, when our defence was hit with injuries, that many of our forwards were able to cover and some were extremely good switching focus to the D so maybe there will be a shuffle of positions. With just 3 weeks until the first preseason game we won’t have to wait long to see who will be filling the remaining vacancies.
