Bees playoff dreams are over Seahawks end Bees hopes of a place at Coventry  With both the Seahawks and Bees pointless after the first weekend of the playoffs, gaining points from the two games between the teams was critical to have any chance of making the final four in Coventry. On both evenings Bees made competitive starts against the team from Hull but over the 60 minutes the Seahawks had more in the tank and came away with an 11-5 win in Slough and a 6-2 win in their home rink. It was always going to be hard for Bees to get the results from the team that finished four places above them in the league but the Seahawks were relentless and did what they had to do to keep their playoff dreams alive. Bees top points scorers over the weekend were Vanya Antonov, Dominik Gabaj, Gianni Vitali and Marcel Balaz who each had 3 points.  Bees road to Coventry continues Phantoms make a perfect start to the playoffs at Bees expense  The first weekend of the playoffs saw the Bees take on the Peterborough Phantoms both home and away. Phantoms edged out the Bees on both evenings despite the Bees putting everything they had into both matches. Vanya Antonov scored two goals over the weekend with Aidan Doughty and Gianni Vitali with one goal each. There were one or two goals scored against the Bees that they would have liked back but th...

Bees also welcomed Josh Kelly back to the line up after some considerable time away with concussion rehabilitation.  Saturday saw the Phantoms visit Slough. The Peterborough team were looking to secure 5th place in the league which would also put them in the Bees playoff group. Brython Preece started in goal for the Bees and a 1-1 first period saw Dominink Gabaj with Bees first goal. The second period saw Phantoms taking a 4-2 lead into the third. Marcel Balaz scored Bees second. Bees won the third period 2-1 but were unable to find the game tying goal and Phantoms had done enough for the two points. Gianni Vitali and Dan Rose were on target in the third. On Sunday Bees went on the road to Sheffield to play the Steeldogs in what would be the...
