Returning: Joe Baird

Further experience added in the defence

With a career that spans back to the mid 1990’s Joe Baird is the latest player to commit to another season with the Bees. Joe may be our most senior player but that comes with a wealth of experience which enables him to read the play excellently and intuitively make the right pass and stay calm in dangerous situations. He also has an accurate shot on goal from the blue line which often converts into great scoring opportunities for the team. He’s a solid defender and will be an asset to the defence.

Not long until the first puck drops

With just 13 days until the preseason matches begin there’s not long to wait to see the guys in their new kit and see the new players in action too. First game is away at Basingstoke Bison on Saturday 3rd September and the Bees will play host to them the following evening at home. During the off season the rink was closed for relaying the ice and the lines and the Bees and other logos are looking fantastic. Take a look at the Everyone Active Slough Ice Arena Instagram for photos of the transformation, they have done a great job.
