Returning: Joe Baird

  Further experience added in the defence With a career that spans back to the mid 1990’s Joe Baird is the latest player to commit to another season with the Bees. Joe may be our most senior player but that comes with a wealth of experience which enables him to read the play excellently and intuitively make the right pass and stay calm in dangerous situations. He also has an accurate shot on goal from the blue line which often converts into great scoring opportunities for the team. He’s a solid defender and will be an asset to the defence. Not long until the first puck drops With just 13 days until the preseason matches begin there’s not long to wait to see the guys in their new kit and see the new players in action too. First game is away at Basingstoke Bison on Saturday 3 rd September and the Bees will play host to them the following evening at home. Returning: James Galazzi

Gazza is back, but for only two months as things stand After several months of will he/won’t he, Bees IHC have announced that James Galazzi is returning to the team as cover for Adam Rosbottom who is unavailable to ice for the team until November due to current service commitments with the Royal Air Force. Since joining the Bees organisation in 2005/2006 season, Gazza has stayed ever faithful to the black, white and gold teams and whilst he is, at the time of writing, the most senior player on the team he still makes a major contribution to the squad. Last season was his fifth highest points tally in his career, so he still has plenty to offer the team. Everyone will be sure to be asking the question come November of whether or not James will continue until the end of the season. The wait for defenders continues... With the current squad signings for 2022/2023 totalling 15 there is room for more. Currently there are only 3 defenders on the books this is surely where we will see fur...
